• are an extra security measure designed to deter the theft of a vehicle’s wheels, especially much wanted alloy wheels.   

Purpose:

 They are an anti-theft device.  One of the standard wheel nuts on each wheel is replaced by a unique locking alternative. 

How They Work: 

Locking wheel nuts have unique patterns or designs.  And to remove a locking wheel nut, you need a special key that matches its specific pattern.   

This key is provided with the vehicle or when the locking wheel nuts are purchased.   

Why they are used:

Alloy wheels are a target for theft and locking wheel nuts add a layer of security to your vehicle, making it much more difficult for thieves to steal your wheels.
